Tai Chi Gong

Tai Chi Chuan has become a popular health-maintenance exercise in today's society, whose benefits become apparent after one has learned and practiced the solo form. For many new students, however, learning the solo form is a very difficult process. With this difficulty in mind, Tai Chi Gong was created. The exercises in the Tai Chi Gong are easy to learn and simple to practice. They are divided into seven groups of exercises and arranged from s simple movement of waving the hand to more complex motions involving the whole body. The exercises redress all the flaws one finds in abbrevidated Tai Chi Chuan solo forms and are easily remembered. Tai Chi Gong is a collection of exercises I assembled based on my 30 years of learning and teaching experiences which I drew from Tai Chi Chuan's supplemental martial training exercises, the "Three Circles Exercise" and "Center Harmony Qigone", as well as teaching and inspiration from my qigone teacher and Pan Gu Mystical Qigong creator Ou wen wei. Tai Chi Gong shares similar characteristics with Tai Chi Chuan, as well as its philosophy, the exercises' movements are all done in circular, soft and even motion with a relaxed and transquil mind. Extra attention is placed on qi circulation. Therefore, it is also a multifunctional art. The exercises are simple and repetitive in nature as with supplemental martial art training exercises so it is a good exercise to prepare the student for the art of Tai Chi Chuan and a good health maintenance exercise.
